1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of the AI Search Pro Shopify app, operated by AI Search Pro (“we”, “us”). By installing the app you agree to them. If you are installing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

Your use of Shopify itself is governed by Shopify’s own terms, which sit alongside these and are not replaced by them.

2. What the app does

AI Search Pro adds natural-language product search to your storefront. It reads your catalogue through Shopify’s APIs, uses an AI model to interpret shopper queries, and returns matching products. It does not modify your theme files, your products, your orders, or your customers.

3. Your responsibilities

• Keep your Shopify account and store secure, and use the app in line with Shopify’s terms and applicable law.
• Make sure your own storefront has a privacy policy that reflects how search on your site works, if your jurisdiction requires it.
• Do not attempt to circumvent plan limits, resell access to the app, reverse-engineer it, or use it to place automated load on Shopify’s APIs or ours.

4. Plans, billing and cancellation

All charges are processed by Shopify and appear on your regular Shopify invoice. We never see or store your payment details. Subscribing, upgrading, downgrading and cancelling all happen through Shopify.

Each paid plan includes a monthly allowance of AI-interpreted searches, stated on the pricing page. Instant type-ahead suggestions and results served from cache do not count towards it. If the allowance is exhausted, AI interpretation pauses until the next period — search continues to work using standard keyword relevance, and your storefront is not disrupted.

Uninstalling the app cancels your subscription immediately through Shopify. Because billing periods are prepaid, we do not provide pro-rata refunds for a partial month unless required by law. If you believe you have been charged in error, email contact@burtechsolution.com and we will work with you to resolve it.

We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice to installed merchants. Shopify will ask you to approve any increase before it takes effect; you are never charged more without approving it.

5. Search results and AI output

The app uses a machine learning model to interpret queries. Its interpretation will not always be what a shopper had in mind, and search results are provided on a best-effort basis. Results come from your own Shopify catalogue and reflect your product data — the app does not create, alter, or enrich product information.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your product data, including prices, stock levels and descriptions.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the app available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The app is deliberately built to fail safely: if our service, or the AI provider behind it, is unavailable, your storefront search falls back to Shopify’s own results rather than breaking. We may carry out maintenance, and will give notice of planned work that we expect to be disruptive.

7. Data

How we handle data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary: we store no personal data about your shoppers, and your catalogue data is read live from Shopify rather than copied into a separate index.

8. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the app, its code, and its branding. You retain all rights in your store, your products, and your content. Installing the app grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on the stores you install it on, for as long as your subscription is active.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, or indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if the app is used in breach of these terms, in a way that threatens the stability or security of our service, or where we are required to by law. Where circumstances allow, we will contact you first.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to installed merchants by email, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
